Shihfen, New Taipei City
Shihfen is located in Pingsi Dist and is well-known for its waterfalls, the Pingsi Branch Railroad and sky lanterns.
The Shihfen Waterfall has been nicknamed the “Little Niagara of Taiwan.” With heights reaching 20 meters (66 feet) and 40 meters (131 feet) wide, it’s the broadest waterfall in all of Taiwan.
The Pingsi Branch Railroad is one of the three existing railroad branches in Taiwan. It was completed in 1921 to support the coal mining industry. The 12.9-kilometer railroad was built along the curving Keelung River and is one of the most popular tourist railroads in Taiwan. The Pingsi Sky Lantern Festival was elected as the second biggest carnival in the world by the Discovery Channel. It attracts more than 400,000 visitors during the Lantern Festival.

Although the Shihfen Old Street does not necessarily attract tourists
due to its traditional architecture, it does boast the unique
attribute of serving as the only old street in Taiwan, which trains
pass through on a daily basis. As they happily enjoy delicious
home-cooked noodles, visitors can enjoy the sight of trains passing
along the unfenced railway gates.

A thank-you-card ( espresso_s2)
Taipei Story House (台北故事館), old name Yuanshan Mansion (圓山別莊), is a historic house in the Zhongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan, now open as a museum.
The house was built in 1913–14 by Chen Chao-chun, a Dadaocheng tea merchant. It was originally a guest house for rich merchants and other important local people.
The ground floor is built of brick and the upper floors of wood with English Tudor-style beams. The staircase is constructed to look like a pagoda. The entrance portico is in the classical style with Corinthian columns.
The Story House museum now has exhibits related to tea and local history. It is located immediately adjacent to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and close to Yuanshan Station.
